The DSC results on polypropylene show that at first it incurs a melting point and then decomposes. However, in inert conditions it has endothermic behavior and in oxidative condition it has exothermic behavior (see DSC curves in Figs. 15.30 and 15.32). The ignition occurs at a temperature of about 280°C (see Fig. 15.32). The values above zero heat flow correspond to exothermic region while those below the zero values correspond to endothermic region. So for the
