Peaked lid - avoid by correct positioning of clamps on everted lid.

Undercorrection - redo the procedure if the indications for surgery are correct i.e. minimal ptosis and good levator function.

Short tarsus - generally results from over zealous surgery for ptosis too severe to correct with a tarsomullerectomy.

Corneal abrasion - insert a protective soft contact lens for a few weeks post operatively.
