Among the forms of pathological anxiety, the DSM-IV-TR  distinguishes, in addition to generalized anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). There are some theories that since OCD involves structural and functional organic deficits, it is questionable whether it can be classified as an anxiety or depressive disorder . The ICD-10  in fact classifies this disorder separately from the other manifestations often associated with it.
