Psychologists use survey research techniques, including questionnaires and interviews, to evaluate attitudes about social or personal issues and to find out about people's behaviors directly from those people. Questionnaires are self-administered and in written form. In interviews, the psychologist asks questions of the respondent. There are strengths and limitations of both of these data collection methods.
